What it is

Night Reserve 0.3 is an anti-ageing night cream built around 0.3% liposomal retinol — a vitamin A active delivered in tiny fat-based capsules (liposomes) for gentler, more gradual release. It pairs the retinol with peptides, ceramides, hyaluronic acid and antioxidants to work on fine lines and firmness while supporting the skin barrier overnight.

The 0.3% strength is an entry-to-moderate retinol level — strong enough to be effective, but a sensible starting point for most skin types. It is designed for evening use only, as retinol is broken down by daylight and can increase sun sensitivity.

What it does

Anti-ageing: 0.3% liposomal retinol supports cell turnover and collagen to soften fine lines and improve skin tone and texture over time.
Peptides: Acetyl Hexapeptide-8 and Palmitoyl Hexapeptide-12 are added to support firmness and target expression lines (evidence emerging).
Barrier support: Ceramide NG, phospholipids and plant oils strengthen the skin barrier and reduce the dryness retinol can cause.
Hydration: Glycerin, saccharide isomerate and hyaluronic acid draw in and hold water for a plumper look.
Antioxidants: Green tea, milk thistle and vitamin E help defend against daily oxidative stress.

How to use

When: Use at night only, on clean, dry skin.
How: Apply a pea-sized amount and gently massage over the face and neck until absorbed.
Introduce slowly: Start 2–3 nights a week and build up as tolerated. Retinol commonly causes some initial dryness or flaking — buffer by applying moisturiser first or after if needed.
Daily SPF is essential: Because retinol increases sun sensitivity, a broad-spectrum SPF 50+ must be worn and reapplied every morning while using this product. This is non-negotiable for both safety and results.

What each ingredient does

Ingredients are listed on the pack in order of concentration (highest first) down to about 1%; below that they can appear in any order. Some grouped rows below combine related ingredients (e.g. the fatty alcohols and the preservative system) for readability. The retinol, peptides and ceramide are the marketed 'actives'; the oils, humectants and fatty alcohols form the nourishing cream base.

Ingredient

Role

What it does

Aqua (Water)

Base / solvent

The base that carries and dissolves the other ingredients.

Milk Thistle Ethyl Ester (Silybum Marianum)

Antioxidant oil

A silymarin-rich oil with antioxidant and soothing properties.

Evening Primrose Oil (Oenothera Biennis)

Barrier lipid / emollient

Rich in GLA (an omega-6 fatty acid) that nourishes and supports the skin barrier.

Olive Fruit Oil (Olea Europaea)

Emollient

A softening oil high in antioxidants and fatty acids; conditions dry skin.

Wheat Germ Oil (Triticum Vulgare)

Emollient / antioxidant

Naturally rich in vitamin E; nourishes and helps protect the skin.

Aloe Vera Leaf Juice (Aloe Barbadensis)

Soothing / hydrating

Calms and hydrates the skin — helpful for offsetting any retinol dryness.

Glycerin

Humectant

A proven hydrator that draws water into the skin and keeps it supple.

Saccharide Isomerate

Humectant (long-lasting)

A plant-sugar moisturiser that binds to skin and holds hydration for hours.

Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride

Emollient

A light coconut-derived oil that smooths and conditions.

Arachidyl Alcohol / Cetearyl Alcohol / Behenyl Alcohol

Emollient / thickener

Fatty alcohols (not drying) that give the cream its rich body and soften skin.

Panthenol (Provitamin B5)

Soothing / hydrating

Calms, hydrates and supports barrier repair. Good evidence for soothing.

C12-15 Alkyl Benzoate

Emollient

A light ester that improves texture and spreadability.

Arachidyl Glucoside

Emulsifier

Keeps the oil and water phases blended and stable.

Green Tea Leaf Extract (Camellia Sinensis)

Antioxidant

Polyphenol-rich antioxidant that helps defend against daily oxidative stress.

Retinol (0.3% liposomal)

Active — retinoid

The key anti-ageing active. Encourages cell turnover and collagen, softening fine lines and improving tone. Liposomal delivery aims for gentler, sustained release.

Phospholipids

Delivery / barrier lipid

Form the liposomes that carry the retinol; also support the skin barrier.

Leuconostoc/Radish Root Ferment Filtrate

Natural preservative / conditioning

A ferment-derived ingredient that helps preserve and condition.

Ceramide NG

Barrier lipid

A skin-identical lipid that reinforces the barrier and locks in moisture — key to the 'barrier-boosting' claim.

Sodium Hyaluronate

Humectant

The salt form of hyaluronic acid; holds water for plumping hydration.

Tocopherol (Vitamin E)

Antioxidant

Protects the oils from going rancid and adds antioxidant benefit to the skin.

Acetyl Hexapeptide-8 (Argireline)

Active — peptide

A signal peptide marketed to soften expression lines. Evidence is emerging/moderate.

Palmitoyl Hexapeptide-12

Active — peptide

A messenger peptide intended to support collagen and skin firmness.

Glucose / Pantolactone

Conditioning / support

Minor conditioning and formula-support ingredients.

PEG-10 Phytosterol / Tribehenin

Emulsifier / stabiliser

Help keep the emulsion smooth and stable.

Carbomer / Xanthan Gum

Thickeners

Give the cream its gel-cream texture and keep ingredients suspended.

Sodium Gluconate

Chelator

Improves stability by binding trace metals.

Lactic Acid / Citric Acid / Sodium Citrate / Sodium Hydroxide

pH adjusters

Balance the pH so the formula is stable and skin-friendly (not exfoliating acids here).

Parfum (Fragrance)

Fragrance

Provides scent. The most likely trigger for sensitivity in reactive skin.

Benzoic Acid / Dehydroacetic Acid / Phenoxyethanol / Potassium Sorbate / Sodium Benzoate

Preservatives

The preservative system that keeps the product safe and fresh in use.

Good to know

Pregnancy: Retinol should not be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Discontinue if you become pregnant and speak to your clinician.
Retinisation: Introduce gradually to avoid the 'retinoid reaction' (redness, dryness, flaking). If irritation is persistent, reduce frequency rather than stopping altogether.
Don't over-stack: Avoid layering with other strong actives (high-strength acids, benzoyl peroxide, other retinoids) on the same night unless advised. Don't use around the immediate eye area.
Realistic expectations: The peptides (Acetyl Hexapeptide-8, Palmitoyl Hexapeptide-12) are a nice addition but have weaker evidence than the retinol — treat the retinol plus daily SPF as the real drivers of results.
Safety: For external use only. Avoid the eyes; rinse with water if contact occurs. Store below 40°C, away from direct sunlight. Best used within 6 months of opening. Contains fragrance — patch test if you have reactive skin.
